On Monday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy convened with the leaders of Britain, France, and Germany in London, demonstrating European solidarity for Ukraine during what they termed a "critical moment" in the U.S.-led initiative to conclude Russia's conflict in Ukraine.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer engaged in discussions with Zelenskyy, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the British leader's residence at 10 Downing St., aiming to bolster Ukraine's position amidst growing impatience from U.S. President Donald Trump.

Following the meeting, Starmer, Zelenskyy, and the other leaders reached out to Kyiv's European allies, urging them to maintain pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Starmer's office issued a statement indicating that the leaders unanimously recognized the urgency of the situation, emphasizing the necessity to enhance support for Ukraine and to increase economic pressure on Putin to bring an end to this brutal conflict.

"This marks the furthest progress we have achieved in four years, and we appreciate that discussions are ongoing at all levels," stated Tom Wells, spokesperson for Starmer.

He further noted that "intensive efforts" will persist in the coming days, despite the fact that "there are still unresolved matters."

Macron's office indicated that the meeting enabled the leaders "to advance collaborative efforts on the U.S. plan to enhance it with European input, in close cooperation with Ukraine."
