Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the United States is pushing for an end to the war with Russia by June, confirming that both sides have been invited to talks in the United States next week.

“This is the first time that the United States has proposed that the two negotiating teams, Russia and Ukraine, meet within a week, possibly in Miami. We have confirmed that we will participate in the talks,” Zelensky said.

There was no immediate comment from Washington or Moscow.

The announcement follows the second round of US-brokered peace talks in Abu Dhabi, which concluded on Friday. Zelensky did not disclose details of the discussions but noted that “difficult circumstances remain difficult,” including ongoing pressure on Ukraine over territorial issues.

Asked about the timeline for reaching an agreement, Zelensky said, “The Americans said they want everything to be completed by June.”
