Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he will meet US President Donald Trump on Sunday to discuss efforts to end the war with Russia.

Zelensky said he would focus on a US-drafted peace plan and another proposal offering security guarantees during the talks. A senior Russian official, however, described the plan Moscow is negotiating with Washington as “completely different.”

The Ukrainian president has proposed negotiations in which Ukraine would withdraw from the eastern Donbas region if Russian troops pull back. The Russian government has yet to comment on this potential arrangement.

Meanwhile, at least one person was injured in a new attack on the Kyiv region on Saturday, local authorities reported. Explosions were heard across the capital, prompting Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko to urge residents to seek shelter in prepared facilities, while Ukrainian air defenses attempted to intercept incoming strikes.
