Russia has launched its first attack on a key government building in the Ukrainian capital, the country's prime minister has announced.
Yulia Svydenko said the upper floors and roof of the building were damaged, and a fire broke out.
The government building that was hit by the attack is known as the Cabinet of Ministers because it houses the offices of Ukraine's prime ministers.
At least four people, including a child, were killed in an attack on a nine-story residential building in the Svetoshinsky district, regional authorities said.
The Ukrainian Air Force said Russia used more than 800 missiles and drones in the attacks.
According to the Air Force, 9 missiles and 56 drones hit 37 targets.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky added that the attacks hit Zaporizhia, Kryvyi Rih, Odessa, as well as Sumy and Chernivtsi regions.
