Yod Abyssinia General Trading has relocated its long-running Bole cultural restaurant to a new facility in Addis Ababa following redevelopment works linked to the city’s corridor development programme.

The company invested 20 million birr in the new branch, located about 150 metres from the previous site. The facility, built on 1,200 square metres, can accommodate between 500 and 700 guests at a time.

Founded in 2003, Yod Abyssinia operates across restaurants, hotels, cafés, travel services, and export operations. It is primarily known for its traditional restaurant business that combines Ethiopian cuisine with cultural music and dance performances.

The previous Bole branch operated for 17 years before the relocation due to urban redevelopment. The new facility maintains the brand’s cultural setting while offering expanded space and improved convenience.

The investment reflects how businesses in Addis Ababa are adapting to large-scale infrastructure and corridor development projects reshaping parts of the capital.

In addition to restaurants, the company operates Yod Abyssinia International Hotel, cafés, tour services, export businesses, and a lodge project under construction.
