Ahmed Ghalib Nasser al-Rahawi, the Houthi rebels' designated prime minister, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Thursday.
The Iran-backed group announced on Thursday that several other senior officials were also killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Yemeni capital, Sanaa.
It announced that Rahawi and other senior Houthi officials had been "eliminated" when Israeli warplanes attacked people gathered in the Sanaa area.
The Houthis have controlled most of northwestern Yemen since 2014, when the Houthis ousted the internationally recognized government from Sanaa and unleashed a brutal civil war.
In a statement announcing the killing of Rahawi, the Houthis said that several ministers were killed in the attack, without revealing the identities of other officials killed.
