Woman Killed in Milwaukee Overnight Shooting, Police Launch Investigation

Police in Milwaukee are investigating an overnight shooting that left a woman dead in the early hours of Sunday, July 5, 2026, authorities said.

The shooting occurred at about 1:00am in the 2700 block of South 10th Street. Officers said the victim, identified as a Jane Doe, was struck by gunfire and pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear and are still under active investigation. No suspect has been identified.

Milwaukee Police are urging anyone with information to come forward as they work to establish what happened.
