Russia-based Wildberries, Eurasia’s largest online marketplace, has partnered with Ethiopian Investment Holdings to expand e-commerce in Ethiopia and enter wider African markets.

The agreement, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding signed by EIH chief executive. Brook Taye (PhD) and Wildberries chief executive Robert Mirzoyan, will see the companies collaborate on adapting Wildberries’ platform to local market conditions. Initiatives will focus on strengthening logistics, digital infrastructure, and online commerce capabilities.

Wildberries, founded in 2004 and headquartered in Moscow, operates a vast marketplace covering fashion, electronics, beauty, and household goods. The company processes millions of orders daily and relies on an extensive network of more than 55,000 pick-up points across Eurasia. Recent expansions include increased warehouse capacity and a consumer-to-consumer resale platform.
