A White House representative said on Sunday that discussions in Florida with officials from Ukraine and Europe were “productive and constructive,” aimed at ending the nearly four-year conflict with Russia.

Steve Witkoff, speaking on social media, said the talks focused on developing a unified strategic approach among Ukraine, the United States, and Europe. “Our collective priority is to halt the violence, ensure guaranteed security, and foster conditions conducive to Ukraine’s recovery, stability, and long-term prosperity. Peace must encompass not only the cessation of hostilities but also a dignified basis for a stable future,” he said.

The discussions form part of the Trump administration’s ongoing diplomatic efforts, which have continued over several months. Trump has launched a broad campaign to mediate the conflict, but his initiatives face sharply contrasting demands from Moscow and Kyiv. Russian President Vladimir Putin has reiterated maximalist demands, even as Russian forces advance on the battlefield despite significant losses.
