US Sanctions Six Entities Over Support for Iran’s Revolutionary Guard

The United States has imposed sanctions on six entities and individuals in China, India, Russia and Iran for allegedly supporting Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), including companies linked to the movement of military personnel, weapons and equipment. The latest measures target organisations accused of enabling the IRGC’s operations, including entities that support Mahan Air, an Iranian airline previously sanctioned by Washington over allegations that it assists the IRGC’s foreign activities.

The US also sanctioned DadeNegar Startup Studio, which Washington described as an IRGC-affiliated front company involved in gathering information on the locations of American and Israeli equipment in the Middle East to support Iranian military targeting. The US government urged companies and individuals engaged with Mahan Air or other sanctioned Iranian carriers to consider the risks associated with continued business ties.

Washington said it would continue efforts to identify and disrupt networks that provide the IRGC with resources and information used to threaten US personnel, regional partners and security interests. The IRGC, Iran’s elite military and security organisation, has been the subject of extensive US sanctions targeting its financial networks, affiliated companies and overseas operations.
