US Blocks UN Gaza Ceasefire Resolution for Sixth Time

The United States used its veto power for the sixth time to veto a draft resolution proposed by the United Nations Security Council calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages.

Morgan Ortagus, the US deputy Middle East envoy, said the resolution does not condemn Hamas or recognize Israel's right to self-defense.

All 14 members of the Security Council voted in favor of the resolution.
