The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has reported that nearly 2,000 civilians have been displaced from the town of Bara and several nearby villages in Sudan’s North Kordofan state over the past three days due to worsening security conditions

According to the organization's Displacement Monitoring Matrix (DTM), the new wave of displacement was caused by the attacks carried out by the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on November 7-9, 2025, the organization said in a statement issued.

The organization added that since October 24, 2025, 38,990 people have been displaced due to continuous attacks in the areas of Bara, Shayqan, Rahad, Umm Rawaba and Umdam Haj Ahmed.

Since 2023, the conflict between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has killed thousands of people and displaced millions.
