UN Health Industry Foundation Eyes Multi-Sector Investment Opportunities in Ethiopia

The United Nations Health Industry Foundation (UNHIF) has signalled plans to expand its investment footprint in Ethiopia across health, banking, mining, tourism, and information and communications technology (ICT).

A high-level UNHIF delegation met with Deputy Commissioner of the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC), Zinabu Yirga, in Addis Ababa to explore potential collaborations. During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Zinabu briefed the delegation on Ethiopia’s ongoing reform initiatives and outlined the range of support services available to foreign investors.

Huang Xiao, speaking for the UNHIF delegation, highlighted the organisation’s particular interest in Ethiopia’s health services and technology sectors, while also considering opportunities in mining, tourism, and banking.
