A museum in Sevastopol that commemorates the 1853–1856 Crimea War has been damaged after a Ukrainian drone strike, as authorities in Russian-annexed Crimea moved to restrict nighttime rail services following a series of attacks affecting infrastructure and transport operations.

The museum’s roof was hit during the strike, according to Sevastopol’s Russian-installed governor Mikhail Razvozhayev, who confirmed the damage and described the incident on Telegram, saying: “The enemy will pay for this sacrilege!”

The rail adjustments follow an earlier drone attack in Crimea that injured a train driver and killed his assistant, prompting authorities to reduce nighttime train schedules.

Sergei Aksyonov, the Russian-installed governor of Crimea, said the changes were introduced in response to the security situation linked to repeated drone activity.

Crimea, annexed by Russia from Ukraine in 2014, has reported recurring drone strikes targeting infrastructure, with local authorities linking the incidents to broader disruption across transport and public systems on the peninsula.

Separately, officials have reported emerging fuel shortages in Crimea as pressure builds on supply chains during the holiday period, adding to existing logistical strains.
