UK Warns Israel Against Retaliation After Recognition of Palestinian State

The United Kingdom has warned Israel not to retaliate against Western countries' recognition of Palestinian statehood.

UK Foreign Secretary Yevgeny Cooper has warned Israel not to retaliate by seizing the West Bank following the UK's recognition of Palestinian statehood.

The United Nations is expected to hold talks to end the war in Gaza with a two-state solution.

Israel continues to bomb Gaza, with at least 20 people reported killed today.

French President Emmanuel Macron said that "recognition of a Palestinian state would bring a political solution."

He announced that they expect a ceasefire agreement to be reached after Palestine is recognized as a state. They also expect the release of hostages and the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
