Two journalists from Sheger FM 102.1 radio were arrested on September 4, 2025, in connection with a news broadcast that aired last week, on August 30, 2025.

According to the report, the journalists who were on duty that day were Tigest Zerihun and Mentamar Tsegaw, who were arrested on suspicion.
