According to Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, the immigration program introduced by President Donald Trump—aimed at offering legal residency to foreign investors willing to pay $5 million—has already attracted more than 70,000 applicants.
The exclusive visa card, styled in gold to reflect Trump’s signature color, is part of a broader strategy to boost government revenue and help reduce the national deficit.
The Commerce Department is reportedly preparing to issue hundreds of thousands of Trump Cards to qualified investors over the next few years, potentially generating billions of dollars in new revenue for the country.
While interest has been high, with tens of thousands registering on the official website, the department has not yet confirmed how many of these applicants meet the financial and legal qualifications to move forward with the program
