President Donald Trump warned on Monday that the United States could carry out additional military strikes if Iran attempts to revive its nuclear programme, following extensive discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Trump’s Florida residence.

Trump previously claimed that U.S. strikes on key Iranian nuclear enrichment facilities in June had "completely and fully obliterated" Tehran’s nuclear capabilities. Speaking alongside Netanyahu, he suggested that suspected nuclear activity may be continuing at other, undisclosed sites.

Israeli officials have reportedly voiced concerns in local media that Iran could be rebuilding its stockpile of long-range missiles capable of reaching Israel.

"Now I hear that Iran is trying to build up again," Trump told reporters at Mar-a-Lago. "And if they are, we’re going to have to knock them down. We’ll knock them down. We’ll knock the hell out of them. But hopefully that’s not happening."

The warning comes as the Trump administration allocates substantial resources to combat drug trafficking in South America and seeks to reinvigorate momentum for a U.S.-mediated Israel-Hamas ceasefire.

The Gaza agreement, which envisages a complex second phase involving the appointment of an international governing body and the reconstruction of the territory, remains at risk of stalling.
