Donald Trump, who said the base is the largest of the US Air Force's command centers, lamented that the way the country's military left the base years ago was inappropriate.
Trump said the air command center is "very important" to the United States and that he is working to get the military back on track.
The president declined to give specifics on when or how his country would return, but he noted that the former air command center is located close to where China is developing nuclear weapons.
It is worth noting that the United States left the center after a twenty-year stay in 2021 under an agreement with the Taliban.
