Trump Media Sells Early Access to President's Truth Social Posts

Trump Media & Technology Group has introduced a subscription service giving financial institutions early access to President Donald Trump's Truth Social posts, creating a commercial product around communications that frequently move financial markets. The new service, branded Truth API, began operating on Saturday and provides subscribers with a licensed, real-time feed of selected posts before they become available to general users. The offering targets investment firms and other organisations that depend on rapid access to market-sensitive information.

The launch could give trading firms a measurable timing advantage. In high-frequency trading, even differences measured in milliseconds can influence investment decisions, particularly when presidential statements affect asset prices, currencies or commodities. Trump has made Truth Social the primary outlet for major policy announcements during his second term, using the platform to disclose decisions on issues including tariffs and military operations rather than relying exclusively on traditional White House communication channels.

Although professional investors already receive Trump's posts through financial information providers such as Bloomberg and Reuters, the direct data feed from Truth Social is designed to shorten the time between publication and delivery to paying subscribers. The initiative also creates a potential commercial benefit for the president. According to his 2025 financial disclosure, Trump owns 114.75 million shares in Trump Media & Technology Group, representing a 41 percent stake in the company.

The service illustrates the growing convergence of political communication and financial markets, with direct access to presidential social media posts now being marketed as a premium data product for institutional investors.
