The Trump administration has introduced a new “golden card” visa, allowing foreign nationals to obtain residency by investing a minimum of 1 million US dollars.

The program is designed to offer a pathway to direct citizenship for qualifying applicants, contingent on demonstrating sufficient financial and professional competence.

Trump highlighted the initiative on social media, stating that it enables American corporations to retain benefits that might otherwise be inaccessible.

The golden card scheme reportedly began with Trump’s return to office and is promoted as a tool to generate economic advantages for the United States. According to the program’s website, successful applicants “will gain substantial benefits from the visa,” including expedited residential permits.

The administration is also increasing fees for work visas, a measure expected to encourage undocumented immigrants to return to their countries of origin. The golden card program is presented as evidence that “America is beneficial to those who qualify,” with residency granted within a short timeframe following the 1 million-dollar investment.
