US President Donald Trump has said that "Ukraine can get back all of its territory that was taken from it."
The president's comments are said to indicate a change in his stance on the ongoing war with Russia.
In a tweet on his Twitter account, Trump said that with the support of Europe and NATO, which are putting pressure on Russia's economy, "Ukraine can regain the borders it had when the war began."
Trump made the comments after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday.
Trump has repeatedly expressed his desire to end the war.
But to do that, they said Ukraine would have to be willing to give up some of its territory, but Zelensky has repeatedly rejected the idea.
