Former U.S. President Donald Trump said he is “perfectly healthy” despite acknowledging that he takes more aspirin than doctors recommend, uses makeup to cover cuts on his hands, and avoids regular exercise, which he described as “boring.”

In a lengthy interview with the Wall Street Journal, Trump, 79, the oldest president in U.S. history, addressed questions about his health following reports of occasional fatigue and inattentiveness during meetings.

Trump confirmed he underwent a CT scan in October, clarifying earlier remarks in which he incorrectly stated he had received an MRI. “Let's talk about my health again for the 25th time,” he said during what the Journal described as an “unexpected phone call,” adding, “I'm perfectly healthy.”

He also revealed he has been taking higher-than-recommended doses of aspirin for 25 years, despite increased risk of injury. “They say aspirin is good for thinning the blood, and I don't want thick blood flowing through my heart,” he said.
