The TPLF accused the government of "violating and undermining the Pretoria Peace Agreement," warning that "the agreement is in greater danger than ever before."

In a statement, the TPLF said, “The federal government has failed to implement key provisions of the Pretoria Peace Agreement signed to end the war in Tigray.”

The group accused the Ethiopian government of “making the agreement meaningless by supporting and arming forces in control of Tigray and preventing displaced residents from returning to their villages.”

The statement added that the Pretoria Peace Agreement aims to achieve a lasting ceasefire, the return of displaced people to their homes, and to lay the foundation for justice, reconstruction, and political dialogue.

It is worth noting that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) recently accused the TPLF of not respecting the Pretoria Peace Agreement and of using federal budget funds for military activities instead of development projects.
