The Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) has accused the Ethiopian government of "openly moving to wage another round of war" and urged the international community to stop this movement.

The European Union Delegation to Ethiopia, 22 EU countries and Norway also called in a joint statement for "continuation of political dialogue" among the signatories of the Pretoria Agreement ahead of the upcoming "general elections."

The TPLF and Western embassies made this statement in various statements marking the third anniversary of the Pretoria Agreement that ended the Tigray War.

The TPLF, one of the signatories to the permanent ceasefire agreement, has stated in its statement that the actions it was supposed to take as part of the Pretoria Agreement have not been implemented.

It said that during the two-year bloody war, the people of Tigray have been subjected to "massacres", "sexual violence", "displacement", as well as "looting" and "destruction" of property.

"Overall, the Pretoria Agreement has dragged on for three years without producing the expected results," the TPLF said, blaming the Ethiopian government and the parties involved in the agreement process for this.
