The head of Megale Woreda in the Afar region accused Tigray forces of "launching an attack" on the district's Tonsa kebele, saying they had "entered 15 kilometers" and taken control of "six villages."

The Tigray Regional Peace and Security Bureau, for its part, denied the crime, saying, "We neither launched an attack nor controlled any land."

Abdu Sheikh Berah Usman, the chief administrator of Megale Woreda, told the BBC that "TDF forces" in neighboring Tigray region have been "taking positions" since Wednesday morning.

Regarding the lawsuit filed by the Afar regional government, a question was submitted to Brigadier General Teklay Kidane, head of the security sector of the Tigray Regional Peace and Security Bureau.

Regarding the accusations made by the Afar regional government, Brigadier General Teklai Kidane, head of the Tigray Regional Peace and Security Bureau, denied the accusations, saying, "We have not entered and controlled any place in Afar."

"We have not initiated any conflict; there is no such readiness," said Brigadier General Teklay; in response, he accused the "Afar forces" of carrying out "repeated uprisings."
