The Tigray Public Diplomacy Forum announced that it has created a favorable environment for three senior military commanders who were suspended from the Tigray military to “agree and work together” with the interim administration of the region.

It is worth noting that the senior leaders of the Tigray army gathered on January 7, 2025, to denounce the interim administration led by Ato Getachew Reda.

Following this, the leaders who protested and left the meeting were banned.

The forum announced in a statement that it had resolved the dispute by bringing together military officials including General Guush Gebre, General Kebede Fiqadu, and Colonel Geber Yohannes Yohannes who were among those suspended by the army leadership, with the President of the Interim Administration of the region, Lieutenant General Tadesse Werede.

It is worth noting that in January 2025, after several days of meetings, the regional officers who call themselves the leaders of the Tigray Power stated Mekele on January 07, 2025, declaring that the interim administration, which was led by Ato Getachew Reda, would be reorganized.
