The Taliban government has banned books written by women from Afghan universities.

The ban is part of a recent decision to outlaw teaching human rights and sexual harassment in universities.

140 books written by women are among 680 books deemed "problematic" for "anti-Sharia and Taliban policies," including "Safety in the Chemical Laboratory."

Universities have also been told they can no longer teach 18 subjects.

A Taliban official explained the reason for this, saying that they "contradict the principles of Sharia and the policies of the regime."

This is the latest in a series of restrictions and restrictions imposed by the Taliban since they came to power.

This week alone, fiber optic internet was blocked in 10 provinces of the country, following a ruling by the Taliban's Supreme Court, which said it was seeking to prevent immorality.

The restrictions imposed by the Taliban have affected the lives of the country's citizens in various ways, but women and girls have become even more vulnerable.
