Police Arrest Suspect in Lisa Desalegn Murder Case in Dessie

The city's police department announced that a suspect has been arrested for the murder of Lisa Desalegn, a student who was a resident of Dessie town in the South Wollo Zone administration of the Amhara region.

The city's police chief, Commander Tilahun Tadesse, recalled that student Lisa Desalegn was found murdered on the evening of September 9, 2025.

Commander Tilahun said that a police investigation team has been formed following the criminal act and is investigating the matter. He added that on November 11, 2025, a suspect in the murder was arrested.

Commander Teshome Tesfaye, Deputy Head of the Criminal Investigation Department, said, "The suspect confessed to the crime, stating that he committed it to steal a mobile phone."

It is worth noting that the city police department has announced that an investigation has been launched into the murder of Lisa Desalegn, a young woman who recently passed away in a place called Habitat in Borkena Kebele, Dessie City.
