Somaliland President Abdirahman Abdullahi has ordered the region's security forces to provide special protection to Ethiopians, regional news sources reported.

The President issued this order following the recent dissemination of a video showing certain individuals threatening and harassing a young Ethiopian man in Hargeisa.

The reports quoted the president as saying that Somaliland has deep-rooted ties with Ethiopia.

Following the president's order, security forces arrested Abdirisak Musa, an individual who was allegedly inciting violence on TikTok, particularly against Oromos.
