
A small plane belonging to an aid organization crashed in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, killing six people, local authorities said.
The aid organization Amref announced that the plane, which took off from Kenya's Wilson Airport on Thursday afternoon and was en route to Hargeisa, Somalia, crashed into a residential building in Nairobi and caught fire.
Kiambu County Commissioner Henry Wafula said doctors and nurses, including the pilot, had died in the crash and that two other people in the area had also died.
Two people were also seriously injured, the commissioner said.
Investigators have been dispatched to the area to determine the cause of the accident.
