Siinqee Bank and Ethiopian Engineering Corporation (EEC) have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at establishing a strategic partnership and expanding cooperation on areas of mutual interest.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Siinqee Bank President Neway Magarsa and EEC Chief Executive Engineer Shimelis Eshitu, alongside senior executives from the two institutions.

The memorandum provides a framework for the bank and the state-owned engineering corporation to work together on strategic initiatives, according to a statement issued by Siinqee Bank.

The partnership forms part of Siinqee Bank's efforts to strengthen its relationships with domestic and international development institutions and expand its role in financing and supporting economic activity.

Neither institution disclosed the specific projects, financing arrangements or commercial commitments that will be covered by the agreement.

EEC is involved in the delivery of major engineering and infrastructure projects, while Siinqee Bank has been expanding its partnerships with institutions across the economy.

The agreement could provide a basis for closer cooperation between the financial and engineering sectors, particularly in areas where large-scale projects require banking and other financial services.
