The association said the murder was "horrific" and that the name of the colleague should be Ato Henelgen Fantahun.

Ato Honeleng Fantahun was engaged in humanitarian work in the Chanet area, 15 kilometers from Debarq town, on August 13, 2025.

He was later kidnapped by an unknown group and subjected to beatings and inhumane treatment, and died on August 14, 2017.

It’s also pointed out that the association is not able to provide humanitarian services by moving around conflict-affected areas.
