Residents told the BBC that members of the military, known as the Tigray Forces, continue to stage protests and block roads in various parts of the region.
The protests, which began in the regional capital, Mekele, have spread to various areas of Tigray and have continued for the past three days.
Protests have erupted in Adigrat and the surrounding area, and the main road from Adigrat to Mekele has been blocked by protesters.
In addition, various sources have indicated that the roads connecting the eastern and southern zones of Ahula and Mekhoni with Mekele, as well as the road from Ndaabagu and Nda Shire to Nda Aslassie, are still closed today.
Members of Army 22, part of the Tigray Forces, had blocked roads and disrupted activities by taking to the protest square in Mekele city four days ago.
Members of the military took to the streets to protest that they were not being paid their salaries on time, were not being given benefits, were not being heard when they went to the local administration, and were not being respected as fighters.
According to the Pretoria Agreement that ended the bloody Tigray War, members of the Tigray Forces are expected to disarm and return to a peaceful life.
