Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has said that "separation and consolidation” will not work in political movements in Ethiopia. He said that there are political parties organized in the name of "separation" in parts of the country "from north to south"; "None of them know their country," he criticized.

This speech by Prime Minister Abiy was made during a "discussion" held during his three-day visit to Bale Zone, Oromia Region.

This "discussion", broadcast on state media, was attended by government officials and former EPRDF officials who traveled to Bale Zone with the Prime Minister.

This discussion, which lasted approximately two hours, focused largely on the development and use of natural resources in the Bale Zone.

Speaking at the end, Prime Minister Abiy, like the other participants, expressed his frustration that the resources in the area were not being utilized to their full potential.

In his speech, Abiy mentioned that the complaint that "there is no peace in Ethiopia, peace must come first" is raised in various ways. The position of the government led by the Prime Minister is; "We pray for peace to come, we will work for peace to come."
