An 18-year-old man who stabbed a 34-year-old Ethiopian social worker to death in Norway in a 'racist' attack has been charged with terrorism in addition to murder, it has been reported.

Tamima Nibras Juhar, an Ethiopian woman, was stabbed to death several times between Saturday and Sunday at the juvenile detention center where she worked, authorities said Monday, Agence France-Presse reported.

Tamima worked at a center that integrated vulnerable youth into society, and the suspect in her murder was a Norwegian citizen who lived at the center.

Tamima was reportedly murdered while working alone in a residential facility in the Kampen neighborhood of Oslo.

The suspect, a resident of this center, was arrested in the capital Oslo after the attack, and police said he was also believed to be involved in her murder.
