A New Orleans man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for producing sexually explicit material involving children, according to the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Cole Diggs, also known as Kevon Godson, 32, was sentenced on August 27 by US District Judge Barry W. Ashe after pleading guilty. He was also sentenced to 15 years of supervised release, ordered to register as a sex offender, pay a mandatory special assessment and provide restitution to his victims.

According to authorities, the case involved multiple minor victims contacted online between November 2021 and December 2022.

US Attorney David I. Courcelle said the sentence would remove a dangerous offender from the community and praised investigators for pursuing the case.

FBI New Orleans Special Agent in Charge Jonathan Tapp said federal authorities would continue to pursue offenders who attempt to sexually exploit children online.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated the case. The prosecution was handled by the US Attorney’s Office under Project Safe Childhood, a US Department of Justice initiative launched in 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
