A Mexican national living unlawfully in the United States has pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a firearm, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Pablo Villasenor-Ochoa, 38, entered a guilty plea last Thursday to a federal charge of being an alien in possession of a firearm. He is scheduled to be sentenced on August 26, 2026, before a U.S. district court judge.

Court documents show that Villasenor-Ochoa threatened to kill his partner and himself on December 21, 2025, after taking out and loading a handgun. Law enforcement later recovered the firearm on December 23 from a vehicle associated with him.

A federal grand jury in Portland indicted Villasenor-Ochoa on June 2, 2026, charging him with firearm possession while being unlawfully present in the United States.

He faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000 and up to three years of supervised release.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated the case with assistance from the Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office. The U.S. Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the matter.
