Iran, under Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has rejected U.S. pressure while signalling caution amid ongoing nuclear negotiations. Tehran warned that any American attack could provoke a wider conflict.

"The Americans must recognize that the war they initiate could lead to a subsequent conflict at this time," Khamenei said, according to a government-linked news agency. He added that despite U.S. naval movements, "the Iranian people are not afraid of these matters."

U.S. President Donald Trump described ongoing discussions with Iran as significant, suggesting they could yield a "constructive outcome."

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told CNN, "I am confident that we can reach an agreement on the nuclear deal in Tehran," while also highlighting growing distrust of Washington. "We have lost faith in America as a reliable partner, given the lack of trust that has developed over time," he said.

In response to Iran’s nuclear ambitions and domestic opposition, the Trump administration has imposed measures on thousands of individuals, framing the actions as necessary for U.S. security.

Regional diplomacy is evolving, with high-ranking Iranian security official Ali Larijani noting that preparations for talks are undergoing changes. Discussions with Washington are expected under the banner of "Fruitful."
