At least three people have been killed after police fired live ammunition and tear gas at a stadium in Kenya where crowds gathered to bid farewell to the body of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
The prominent rights group Vocal Africa told the BBC that the bodies of three of those killed in the riots had been taken to the city's main morgue.
According to local media reports, another person was killed when police fired shots to disperse the crowd.
It is not yet clear what type of bullets police fired at the crowd gathered at a stadium in the capital, Nairobi.
Vocal Africa, however, said the dead were shot.
Raila Odinga, a prominent figure in Kenyan politics, died in India on Wednesday.
His body arrived at the country's main airport on Thursday morning, forcing authorities to briefly suspend flights due to the large crowd that had gathered there.
Mourners gathered near the airport were able to enter restricted areas, leading to flights being suspended and the airport being closed for two hours as a "precautionary measure".
