Jetour Opens New After-Sales Service Centre in Addis Ababa

Jetour distributor Sways Motors has inaugurated a modern after-sales service centre in Addis Ababa, expanding maintenance capacity for the growing number of Jetour vehicles on Ethiopian roads.

The facility, located in the Kaliti area, was inaugurated on Sunday in the presence of senior company executives, invited guests and Jetour Ethiopia representative Mustafa Adil. The centre is designed to provide maintenance, repair services and spare parts support for Jetour vehicles, including electric and hybrid models, which are increasingly entering the Ethiopian market.

Speaking at the inauguration, Adil said the facility is equipped with modern diagnostic systems and specialised workshops intended to handle both conventional and new-energy vehicles. He noted that technicians have received advanced training to support electric and hybrid vehicle technologies.

The company’s chief executive officer said the investment aims to ease pressure on spare parts availability and improve service reliability, addressing one of the persistent challenges in emerging automotive markets where vehicle imports are rising faster than after-sales capacity.

Across Ethiopia’s automotive sector, distributors have been expanding service infrastructure as demand for maintenance, original spare parts and technical expertise increases. Industry practice has increasingly shifted toward authorised service centres that offer factory-trained technicians, diagnostic tools and structured warranty support.

The development also reflects a broader industry trend toward EV-ready workshops, as electric and hybrid vehicles require more specialised technical systems compared with traditional internal combustion engines.

Officials at the event said the new centre is expected to strengthen transparency in service delivery and build customer trust through standardised maintenance procedures and improved access to genuine parts.

The company added that the investment forms part of its long-term strategy to expand its automotive service footprint in Ethiopia and support the development of a more structured vehicle service ecosystem.
