
Hundreds of Israelis have taken to the streets of Tel Aviv to thank US President Donald Trump.
The Israelis took to the streets ahead of the release of hostages held by Hamas.
Speaking to the Israelis in the square, US special envoy Steve Witkoff said the hostages "will return home."
Witkoff also thanked President Trump for brokering a deal that would halt the fighting in Gaza and allow the hostages to return home.
Palestinian officials say 500,000 residents have returned to devastated northern Gaza in the past two days alone, following the Israeli military's withdrawal from the area.
Meanwhile, Egypt has announced that it will hold a summit on Monday to finalize a deal that could end the war.
More than 20 leaders, including Trump, will attend the summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, an Egyptian government spokesman said.
French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer are expected to attend the meeting, which begins on Monday.
Trump is expected to visit Israel before heading to Egypt on Monday.
