Israeli Energy and Infrastructure Minister Eli Cohen told his country's Channel 7 television that the only thing we can expect to return to our hard-hitting offensive in Gaza is the recovery of all the bodies of the dead hostages, Middle East Monitor reported.

A ceasefire in Gaza has been in effect, despite occasional violations of the 20-point peace plan previously proposed by US President Donald Trump.

The plan calls for an international peacekeeping force to be deployed in Gaza to monitor the ceasefire.

However, Eli Cohen is heard saying that even if an international force were deployed, it would not be enough to disarm Hamas.

But their country's army can return to the Gaza campaign and effectively disarm Hamas, Cohen said.
