As the US is reportedly considering various options for attacking Iran, Iran has warned that if it is attacked, the war will not be limited to just the two countries.

As the third round of talks between Iran and the US approaches, the Wall Street Journal reported that the US is considering “ranging from a limited initial airstrike to a days-long air campaign to achieve regime change.”

But Iran has warned that the consequences of an attack on the US will not be limited to the two countries.

An Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman has warned that there is no such thing as a limited attack and that any attack on Iran will be met with a severe response.

President Donald Trump has reportedly been considering a limited attack to force Iran to accept US conditions during the ongoing talks.

The Wall Street Journal reported that US officials have warned that any military action against Iran carries risks.

“All options are risky. In particular, a prolonged attack would cost the US military and its weapons, and would make it difficult for Iran to defend its allies in the region if it retaliates,” the official said.

This concern has been raised at meetings of senior US military and security officials.

Following the US threat of attack, Iran has repeatedly warned that it will retaliate against US ships, military bases and allies in the region if attacked.

Israel, the main target of Iranian retaliation, has warned that Iran’s retaliatory attack on Israel would be the biggest mistake in the Islamic Republic’s history.

The United States has been preparing to strike Iran in recent weeks by deploying a large aircraft carrier and other warships and fighter jets to the Middle East.

The United States has reportedly deployed its largest military force to the Middle East since the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
