Talks between senior Iranian and US officials in Muscat, Oman, have concluded “temporarily,” Iranian state media reported, with no details on outcomes or plans for continuation.

The negotiations, which began on February 7, 2026, are part of ongoing efforts to address tensions over Iran’s nuclear programme. The United States has repeatedly warned that it could resort to military action if Iran does not halt its nuclear weapons development.

Iran’s state news agency described the discussions as “protracted” and indicated they could last several days. Analysts say the talks are critical and delicate, suggesting negotiations may extend as both sides weigh potential concessions and risks.
