Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said negotiations remain the only viable path forward in addressing tensions with the United States, following talks in Oman that concluded on Saturday “for the time being,” according to Iranian state media.

Speaking at the National Foreign Policy Congress, Araghchi said he had conveyed the same message directly to US representatives during the discussions. “We will answer any questions and concerns about Iran’s nuclear program,” he said, adding that Tehran seeks respect for its rights rather than guarantees.

“Knowledge is not destroyed by bombing,” Araghchi said, referring to damage sustained to Iranian nuclear facilities during a twelve-day conflict with Israel.

He criticised US President Donald Trump’s approach, describing it as “a return to the law of the jungle,” in which a “strong entity imposes its will on others.”
