The situation regarding human rights in the Tigray region has become increasingly alarming, as numerous reports indicate that individuals are being subjected to arbitrary detention, forced disappearances, and physical harm.

This troubling trend highlights the deteriorating state of human rights, as noted in a recent statement by the organization.

In its statement released yesterday, the organization provided information about various incidents that have occurred in the region, detailing numerous cases of arbitrary detentions and disappearances.

It emphasized that these actions occur in a context devoid of legal oversight, suggesting a widespread disregard for freedom and human rights.

The explanation notes that the current location or situation of the film remains unknown.

In the introduction, it is also mentioned that the Eritrean government is recognized as an opponent, and the individual known as Yohannes Abraham, who is said to have been involved in the situation in Mekelle, has been highlighted.

The organization has clarified that there is no available information regarding the individual's current circumstances or location. Another issue raised pertains to the long-time activist and supporter, Birhane Gebregiorgis, who was reported to have been killed in Shire, a town in the northwestern Tigray region, seven days prior. The explanation indicates that Birhane had previously been vocal about the atrocities committed against the Tigrayans, suggesting that he had been targeted for his outspoken nature.
