In a statement issued by the Federal Civil Service Commission, it said that the government is taking steps within the country's capacity to improve the living conditions of citizens.

Accordingly, the government has announced that it has decided to make additional salary improvements for government employees

The amendment will increase the minimum salary of a government employee from Birr 4,760 to Birr 6,000.

It’s the maximum salary of a government employee will increase from Birr 21,492 to Birr 39,000

The commission announced that the starting salary of a degree graduate will be increased from Birr 6,940 to Birr 11,500.

It’s also announced that the salaries of government employees working in various sectors outside the civil service will also be revised.

The commission said that this salary adjustment has required an additional budget of over 160 billion birr, bringing the total annual government expenditure on salaries to 560 billion birr.
