FastPay ET, a US-based money transfer company, has entered a long-term partnership with Nova Connections, the organiser of the Grand African Run and the African Impact Award. The deal aims to expand diaspora-focused programmes and community engagement initiatives.

The agreement was signed in Washington, D.C. Nova Connections was represented by its managing director Gashaw Abeza (PhD), while FastPay ET was represented by its executive leadership.

FastPay ET CEO Ftsum Merdassa said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to supporting initiatives that connect African diaspora communities and recognise individuals contributing to long-term social impact.

He emphasised that the collaboration goes beyond business, highlighting FastPay ET’s intention to give back to the communities that rely on its financial transfer services.

Nova Connections has been involved in diaspora-oriented events designed to strengthen cultural ties and celebrate contributions to development across Africa. The partnership is expected to support programmes promoting community participation and broader diaspora connectivity.

This collaboration marks a significant step in linking financial services with cultural and social impact initiatives targeting the African diaspora.
