The European Union has welcomed an agreement reached by Libyan representatives on the reconstitution of the board of the High National Elections Commission and the country’s electoral framework, describing it as a step towards holding credible national elections.

The agreement was signed during a United Nations-facilitated “Small Convening” involving Libyan representatives.
